Armand Bayou Nature Center is one of the largest urban wilderness preserve in the U.S. ABNC contains 2500 acres of the natural wetlands forest, prairie and marsh habitats once abundant in the Houston/Galveston area. ABNC is home to over 370 species of birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. The nature center offers hiking trails, exhibits, field trips, Scout programs, birding, a historic farm and fun for all.
ABNC's Environmental Education and Interpretive Programs are designed to open the door to the natural world. Our Bayou, Prairie and Forest are amazing outdoor classrooms where hands-on learning is inspired by nature.
